Turning the ordinary into the extraordinary

The Winterstellgut is a place where time-old traditions are preserved. Which applies in particular to good food and wine. Chef Erwin Werlberger and his team are dedicated to a pursuit which most chefs prefer to avoid: the transformation of seemingly unremarkable ingredients into extraordinary specialities.
All of these ingredients are sourced from selected partners in the immediate vicinity of the Winterstellgut: eggs and most of the fruit and vegetables from Annaberg, pork from the Fritztal valley, tender veal fillet from the municipality of Muhr in the Lungau region, butter and cheese from Adnet, fish from Lake Fuschl, and so on.
