In the Winterstellgut we cook, stew, grease, tender and roast
just like it has always been done in the Lammertal.


Pleasure for the palate

All dishes prepared by Erwin Werlberger and his team in the Winterstellgut kitchen are made almost exclusively from regional ingredients – some picked just behind the house, or over in the nearby woods or fields.

Regional Ingredients

Our menu is based on the seasons, which is why we only offer what is available in Winterstellgut. This helps us support local farmers and hunters and process all parts of beef, pork and deer. We are focused on transforming the whole animal into extraordinary specialties with care and respect.

All ingredients come from selected partners in the immediate vicinity of the Winterstellgut: the eggs come from Annaberg; the pork from the Fritztal; the tender beef fillet from the Lungau village called Muhr; butter and cheese from Adnet; and the fish from the own Ausseer fishery.


The "Stub`n" (parlour)

The “Stub´n” (parlour) is the heart of every Tennengau farm and visiting guests will always leave a piece of their souls at Winterstellgut’s Stub`n. Whether it’s a festive wedding with tender love confessions or a discussion of great business ideas – the spirit of the space is soaked into the walls, floors, tables and ceilings.

In Winterstellgut there are three lovingly decorated rooms which can be reserved upon request for groups of different sizes. In winter, the rooms are kept warm and cosy thanks to the traditional tiled stoves. In summer it’s a difficult choice between soaking up some sun on the terrace or enjoying some downtime in the pleasantly cool rooms –  and of course, there’s also the tempting menu which will demand your attention.

Pine Stub`n

The Pine Stub`n is the ideal retreat for smaller family celebrations or for business meetings that require a particularly relaxed setting free of disturbances.

This cozy room can comfortably accommodate up to 18 people.


The light-flooded Schankstube is the heart of the restaurant.

Locals and out-of-town guests can soak up the traditional atmosphere
of the Winterstellgut in this friendly, lovingly decorated parlour.

Veranda and sun terrace

Sunny spots for leisurely breakfasters: meals taken on the light-flooded veranda taste even better – like the special Winterstellgut breakfast.

Right outside the window are the majestic mountains of the Lammer Valley, while here inside the rustic parlour exudes a cosy atmosphere and offers sanctuary from the wind and weather. It isn’t difficult to spend a couple of hours enjoying breakfast and the view!

As well as good food from the kitchen and wine from the cellar, another famous regional speciality is served on the glorious sun terrace of the Winterstellgut: the fresh Lammer Valley air. From here you can look down to Annaberg, across to the Tennengebirge mountains or watch the Haflinger horses grazing.


The only disadvantage to the terrace is that you can’t sit inside the parlour at the same time.
